WWE has replaced Joey Styles as play-by-play voice of ECW with Mike Adamle. This is said to be a permanent move, although Styles is still employed by the company.

Powell's POV: It's no secret that Vince McMahon has been incredibly tough on the announcers lately. A colleague recently stated that Vince has proverbially "neutered" Styles on commentary. Jim Ross jokingly referred to the "kinder and gentler" Styles in a recent blog update on his site, which was clearly referring to the way Vince has instructed Joey to call matches. Adamle has not been well received by fans and is a laughing stock in some circles, but clearly the people calling the shots feel differently about him.
