WrestleMania 28 pay-per-view buys lower than projected

WWE released updated figures that show WrestleMania 28 drew 1.21 million buys. The company initially claimed that preliminary numbers showed that the event drew 1.3 million buys.

Powell's POV: WWE will make the official announcement regarding the final buy totals at the second quarter conference call. They got a lot of media hype for that 1.3 million buy total they threw out there, whereas the new numbers will likely be ignored by most of the mainstream media outlets that ran the initial press release.
