WWE star C.M. Punk issued an apology on his Twitter page after TMZ ran the footage of him referring to a fan as a "homo" during a ringside incident at a WWE live event in Australia. "I'm glad TMZ posted that video because everybody needs to be held accountable for their bullshit, me included," Punk wrote.

"What I said is bullshit. I'm embarrassed. I own up to being a total douche in this situation and I offer a sincere apology to anybody I hurt with careless words." Follow Punk on Twitter at Twitter.com/CMPunk.

Powell's POV: Good for Punk. That's much better than the usual "I apologize to anyone I may have offended" line that has become a standard response in situations such as these. He admitted fault and even went so far as to say he acted like a douche.
