WWE reportedly signs Ring of Honor and indy headliner

WWE has signed independent standout El Generico, according to PWPonderings.com. Generico recently headlined the Final Battle iPPV in a match with Kevin Steen.

Powell's POV: There's no word yet as to whether it's a developmental deal or if the company intends to debut him on the main roster. There was some talk last year of Generico coming in to do something with Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara, but that never materialized. We have not confirmed the story independently at this point, though the guys from PW Ponderings have told us that several sources have confirmed the story.
