WWE star Wade Barrett spoke with Brian Fritz of Between The Ropes at the WrestleMania 28 Axxess event and spoke about his elbow injury. "I'm injured at the moment, unfortunately," Barrett said. I was going to be on this year's WrestleMania show, but I got a nasty elbow injury a few weeks ago and I had surgery on that. Probably in about four months time I'll be back in action."

Barrett also commented on the bad timing of the injury. "I thought the bones were broken," Barrett said. "Fortunately they hadn't, but I had some ligament damage. In terms of timing, there's never a good time to get injured... The WrestleMania thing is bad, but just being injured in general." Powell's POV: Barrett noted that no one was at fault and chalked it up to "the cards fell bad for me that day." I was in attendance at the Raw show in Minneapolis when he suffered the injury and while I won't argue that it was a case of bad luck when he suffered the injury in a battle royal, I do hope that WWE officials addressed the issue of another wrestler being thrown over the top rope and into the area where Barrett was lying injured.

Barrett also stated that the tension between Rock and John Cena is "100 percent genuine." He spoke more about that match, the induction of Edge into the WWE Hall of Fame, and whether he has animosity with anyone in particular within the WWE locker room. I received word that one of you out there hasn't followed Fritz on Twitter at @BrianFritz so now I'm forced to pimp it again.
