WWE star Triple H spoke with Kevin Eck of the Baltimore Sun Ring Posts blog at the Be A Star red carpet event in Washington, D.C. last week and was asked whether he will return to the ring full time. "No, as of right now, I'm not planning to return full-time to the ring. To quote Vince, I think I'll be "in case of emergency, break glass.'

"I'm at a good point for me. It's a young man's business. I'm at a point where I'm still healthy. I can still do this when I want. I always kind of look at it as the good of the business where people want to see it that way or not... I think I can give more behind the scenes to benefit the business than I can in the ring."

Hunter also addressed the WWE name change. "Here's the thing, I think a lot of people misunderstand what we're saying. When we say we're just going to be WWE now and we're not going to be World Wrestling Entertainment, some people think we're walking away from our core product and that's not it at all.

"We just do so many things very well. We are a live events production company that does live events probably better than probably anybody on the globe. I would put our WrestleMania up against the Super Bowl probably any day of the week and from an everything else standpoint. We do live events touring probably better than anybody else in the world. We do merchandising as well if not better than anybody else in the world.

"There are abilities for us to take those core (qualities) and offer them to the outside world in addition to what we do. It's not taking our eye off the core product, it's just using what we do extremely well and offering it to other people also. Working with those things, that's one way of doing it... Another way of doing it is bringing other things into the fold that are very similar to what we do...

"Can people get caught up in, 'Oh, they're not a wrestling company anymore'? No, we still do that. That's very much our core and that's our business, but at the same time, just as Kentucky Fried Chicken makes fried chicken, they do other foods too, which is why they are now just KFC and not Kentucky Fried Chicken. Apple Computers doesn't just make computers, which is why they changed their name to Apple." To view the full interview, visit baltimoresun.com/sports/wrestling/blog/.

Powell's POV: I'm just not as bothered by the name change as most people seem to be. Yes, I think it's absurd that Vince McMahon has banned words like "wrestling" from the television product and I understand that many people see this as another step away from wrestling, but the actual change from World Wrestling Entertainment to WWE is fine with me. After all, we all use the WWE name far more often than we actually said World Wrestling Entertainment.
