Friday's WWE Smackdown television show drew a 1.73 rating, up from the 1.70 mark the show hit the week before. Smackdown averaged 2.48 million, which was actually down from the 2.557 million viewers who watched the week before.
Powell's POV: WWE has to do a better job of making the Friday night show seem relevant during Raw. They can't even be bothered to advertise a match in advance some weeks, perhaps because of the chaotic booking on the fly approach. There should be more marketing synergy between the two shows and I believe it would lead to better ratings.
