WWE Smackdown rating: Final numbers for the October 11 edition of Smackdown

Friday's WWE Smackdown scored a 1.82 rating, down a tick from last week's 1.83 rating. The show averaged 2.453 million viewers, down from last week's 2.513 million viewers.

Powell's POV: The advertising for Friday's show was built around the Curtis Axel vs. R-Truth match for the Intercontinental Title. One can only wonder if the show would have performed better had they hyped the actual main event of Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. As previously noted, Smackdown was opposed by the MLB playoffs, which scored 5.45 million viewers for TBS.
