WWE Smackdown rating: Did the debut of UFC's The Ultimate Fighter on FX affect the WWE rating?

Friday's WWE Smackdown drew a 2.12 rating, which is up 1.97 rating that the show drew last week. Smackdown averaged 3.1 million viewers. Meanwhile, UFC's debut of The Ultimate Fighter on FX drew a 0.94 rating with 1.28 million viewers.

Powell's POV: The UFC show got off to a lousy start and it didn't appear to have any impact on Smackdown given that the WWE show drew its best rating in nearly a month. I watched portions of The Ultimate Fighter show on Friday and thought it was a sloppy production that looked minor league compared to UFC's usual standards.
