WWE Smackdown rating: Did C.M. Punk vs. Kane for the WWE Championship pop a rating?

Friday's WWE Smackdown drew a 1.7 rating, down from a 1.84 rating the week before. The show averaged 2.557 million viewers.

Powell's POV: This is the lowest Smackdown rating since April 13. Last week was a lousy week for all three major pro wrestling shows. In this case, it appears the hype for the first WWE Championship match on Smackdown in four years did not pay off.
