WWE Smackdown rating: A new viewership high for Smackdown on Syfy

Friday's WWE Smackdown drew a 1.92 rating with 2.9 million viewers. The show produced its best viewership number since it moved to Syfy back in October.

Powell's POV: It's good to see the Friday night brand trending upward. The last two weeks of television have been strong. Unfortunately, they didn't do much to promote this week's show on Raw. They had a few generic commercials that didn't advertise any particular matches or events. WWE should be doing so much more cross promotion now that Raw and Smackdown air on Universal owned networks.
