Friday's WWE Smackdown averaged 2.827 million viewers, up from the 2.467 million viewers the previous week, according to Zap2It.com.

Powell's POV: Friday's Smackdown featured the final hype for the Night of Champions pay-per-view, including Edge hosting The Cutting Edge with guests Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. Smackdown was the highest rated cable original series with a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic. We hope to have the actual rating later today.
