WWE Smackdown TV rating: Did John Cena's in-ring appearance lead to a better rating?

Friday's WWE Smackdown television show drew a 1.81 rating. It was the same rating the show drew the week before. Smackdown averaged 2.5 million viewers and finished sixth for the night on cable and ninth in the 18-34 demographic.

Powell's POV: More of the same from Smackdown on Syfy. I'm actually surprised the rating has held steady despite the lack of promotion the show gets on Raw. We can only wonder if the show would have drawn more viewers had they advertised John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio, and Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler on the flagship show.
