Monday's WWE Raw produced a 3.09 rating, which his down from the 3.3 rating the show drew last week.

Powell's POV: This is the lowest rated edition of the show since July 11. Unless something catches fire, I can only envision the rating decreasing once the NFL regular season arrives. You have to wonder how much of the ratings disappointment will be blamed on the C.M. Punk story internally. Triple H hasn't meant much of anything to the Raw ratings, but I have a hard time believing any executives will be quick to point that out.

Overall, WWE officials have to be disappointed with the number for the SummerSlam go-home show and concerned that the pay-per-view isn't going to produce a strong buyrate. The ratings and buys don't always go hand in hand, but it's easier to be optimistic about pay-per-view numbers when the ratings are stronger.
