Dot Net reader Jay Aquino attended the WWE Raw show on Monday and sent the following report.

The crowd was really into "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as he came in. He came to a very thunderous reaction and the crowd was very responsive in their "whats?" The crowd let out a groan when John Cena's music came on. During his entrance it was about 60-40 in terms of boos to cheers. He really had the crowd behind him during his match with the Big Show.

The crowd was excited to see Bourne, only to realize that he was about to get squashed. I thought Sheamus's promo was decent.

The divas really killed the mood of the crowd. The match was very sudden. Maryse gets a lot of whistles. I'm not sure how it played on TV, but it was pretty obvious that Michelle missed her kick to Eve the first time because Eve was not low enough yet I think.

Chris Jericho cut a nice hometown heel promo during the commercial break before the match. My favorite quip was in response to the crowd chanting "You Suck": "I can't suck since I'm not from San Diego." It's interesting to note that the last time Edge was in this arena in San Diego, he injured his achilles tendon.

Randy Orton came out to a slight pop but a mostly muted reaction. I think the technically face vs. face interaction during the match made the crowd quieter, as well as the dreaded chinlocks. Triple H's had a spill over the top turnbuckle that was particularly nasty looking. Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes came out too early for the run-in in front of the Titantron and quickly ran back before anyone really noticed.

The Kofi Kingston and Batista match was a nice surprise, as Kofi really riles up a crowd. The blood really added to the match. Batista was given a towel before he went up the ramp.

As the ring was set up for the contract signing, CM Punk cut a short promo on Rey Mysterio regarding their live match after Raw. He mentioned that he used his "sphere of influence" in order to face Rey in his hometown.

Match of the Night: CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio (dark match) - It was not as good as their last house show encounter in San Diego, but still very interactive with the crowd. The match start with the traditionally heel running around while the face chases. The entire match was set up around Rey trying to hit the 619.

CM Punk used some interesting gestures he doesn't normally do on live TV, such as Rey Mysterio's sign of the cross after his knee to the face in the corner. The finish saw Rey knock down Luke Gallows, allowing Rey to knock Punk into the ropes and hit the 619 and a splash. After the match, Rey got a Mexican Flag out from the crowd and posed in the ring.

Overall it was a good show. It was about 50-50 for me but the live main event put it over for me.

Biggest Pops:
1. Rey Mysterio
2. Stone Cold Steve Austin
3. Bret Hart
4. Shawn Michaels

Biggest Heat:
1. CM Punk
2. Chris Jericho
3. Vince McMahon
