To follow up on the previous report regarding the shooting that occurred in India when a crowd gathered to see Great Khali, Slam Wrestling is now reporting that three fans were seriously wounded. The story states that Khali's bodyguard was hostile from the start and began shoving children when they approached Khali for a photograph.

The bodyguard allegedly grabbed one boy and started to beat him. The crowd attempted to rescue the boy from the body guard, and it is alleged that the bodyguard actually fired the gun shots that led to the injuries. For more on the story, visit Slam.canoe.ca.

Powell's POV: This version of the story is much different than the recap of the Hindustan Times article that we posted earlier. The original report claimed that only minor injuries were suffered, and that the shots were fired by a fan. The Slam piece is written by former WWE creative team member Ranjan Chhibber, and includes details from India's 24-hour news network Aaj Tak. No charges have been filed yet, but we will provide updates as more information is released.
