Powell's POV: It was a wise move for WWE to give the scoop to ESPN, as it generates mainstream publicity for the announcement, and gave Triple H a chance to publicly sing the praises of the company's Wellness Policy. Obviously, Hunter deserves a lot of credit for making this happen, as he handled the discussions with Sammartino, who rejected pass invitations to become a member of the WWE Hall of Fame.
