WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is meeting with the NFL Players Association today in hopes of developing a program that would funnel NFL players to WWE developmental. "Everybody doesn’t make the 53-man roster,” Ross told Jim Miller and Alex Marvez on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

"Some guys are going to be looking for work, and we’ve got some job openings. Maybe we can put the synergies of those two entities together and create something wonderful some day." Read more on the story at NESN.com.

Powell's POV: It's a logical step for WWE to take and one would think the Players Association would see it as a potential avenue for players who don't make the cut to move onto another potentially lucrative field. I continue to be highly impressed by the moves WWE is making with its developmental operation. Thanks to John Tuvey of the awesome TheHuddle.com.
