WWE News: WWE Network to include a free trial offer

WWE officials announced during a conference call that they will be giving viewers a free one week trial on some platforms to sample the WWE Network. The primary platform mentioned for the trial was the WWE app. Vince McMahon noted later during the conference call that the one week trial would not be during a pay-per-view week.

Powell's POV: The network launches the day after Elimination Chamber, so he and WWE executive George Barrios may have had their wires crossed regarding the free trial. By the way, clever fans have been asking whether they can get away with not purchasing the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view live with the hope that it will be available the next day. WWE has not made that clear, but keep in mind that the network won't launch until after the following night's Raw, just over 24 hours after the pay-per-view has concluded.
