The Great Khali (a/k/a Dalip Singh Rana) was suspended by the Punjab police on Wednesday for taking an "unauthorized leave." The WWE star serves as an assistant sub inspector in his home country. He was technically on leave until December of last year and then applied for a five-year "extraordinary leave" that police officials feel he was not entitled to.

"As per the rule, (Khali) was not entitled to any further leave and there was no option other than to suspend him," Punjab police Commandant Arunpal Singh stated. To read more on the story, visit DNIndia.com.

Powell's POV: Didn't we go through this the last time Khali visited India? The report doesn't indicate whether Khali is facing any type of additional punishment. It's a shame they didn't force him to come home over the summer to address this issue so that I would have been spared suffering through the dreadful Khali vs. Kane house show main event. Yes, I wrote main event.
