WWE plans to put an end to separate Raw and Smackdown house show events later this year, according to a PWTorch.com that cites the latest WWE Fan Council survey that was issued this week.
Powell's POV: This is something I've called for several times in audio. The Smackdown shows have been branded B-shows and that can't be good for attendance. The question now becomes whether WWE loses anything without Raw branded events, since that name obviously carries some weight as the A-show. My guess is that this won't be an issue. I assume WWE will run the same number of dates with separate shows all billed as WWE events rather than Raw or Smackdown.
