WWE released the following first quarter pay-per-view numbers on Thursday as part of its earnings report.
-The Royal Rumble pay-per-view scored 462,000 buys, which is up from the 450,000 buys in 2009.
-The Elimination Chamber drew 285,000 buys. Meanwhile, the No Way Out pay-per-view that was held at the same time last year produced 272,000 buys.
-WrestleMania 26 drew 885,000 buys, which is down from 975,000 sales last year.
Powell's POV: The first quarter financial numbers are stronger this year because WrestleMania fell in that quarter, but the actual WrestleMania show drew a disappointing buyrate.
