WWE News: Repackaged wrestler returns at the WWE Smackdown tapings (non-match spoiler)

The following contains a non-match spoiler regarding a new storyline direction for a returning character who will appear air on Friday's Smackdown show.

C.M. Punk reintroduced the Festus character during Tuesday's Smackdown taping in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He said his name was Luke Gallos and blamed his previous mental condition on years of drug abuse. Punk took credit for helping Gallos break out of his previous mental condition. Powell's POV: There are also reports that the new character name is Drew Gallos, so it's possible that our correspondent didn't catch the name. This storyline twist has been rumored for weeks and I'm happy they finally pulled the trigger. Festus was a one-dimensional character, whereas the new character could be a fun sidekick/enforcer for Punk.
