WWE announced that pay-per-view revenues were $15.8 million for the three shows held in the third quarter of 2011. The number is great than the $13.6 million the company made for the same quarter of 2010, and the $14.5 million the company earned for pay-per-views in the same quarter of 2009.

-July's Money in the Bank pay-per-view eared 195,000 buys, up from the 165,000 buys the same event did last year, but down from the 267,000 buys that Night of Champions drew in July 2009.

-The August SummerSlam event did 296,000 buys. The same event drew 350,000 buys in 2010, and 369,000 buys in 2009.

-September's Night of Champions pay-per-view produced 161,000 buys. The event drew 165,000 buys in 2010. The Breaking Point pay-per-view sold 169,000 buys around the same date in 2009.

Powell's POV: It's worth noting that WWE listed 65,000 incremental buys for WrestleMania occurred during the quarter, so that explains the increase. In fact, if you remove the WrestleMania from the equation, WWE was actually down four percent to the three comparable events in 2010. WWE reported that domestic buys increased three percent compared to last year, whereas international buys dropped by 14 percent.
