WWE News: New creative team member hired, has history in daytime soap operas

Tom Casiello announced on his Twitter today that he has been hired for WWE Creative. Casiello has won multiple Emmys for his work on daytime soap operas, including Another World, As the World Turns, One Life to Live, Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless.

Shore's Slant: I once did an interview where the host asked me if it was fair to compare professional wrestling to a soap opera. After the recent efforts to remove "wrestling" from WWE vocabulary and now this hire, I believe the answer is yes. Let's hope that Casiello doesn’t get burned out and end up on Dave Lagana's Formerly Creative podcast too soon. Congratulations to him on his new gig.
