WWE News: NXT dropped as the lead-in for the debut of WWE Smackdown on Syfy, Smackdown special to air instead

WWE NXT is no longer listed as the lead-in for the debut of WWE Smackdown on the Syfy Network on Oct. 1. The network is now airing a show called "Countdown to Smackdown" on Oct. 1 at 6:00 p.m. CT.

Powell's POV: It appears WWE NXT will conclude its run on Syfy on September 28. The show had originally been slated as the lead-in on Oct. 1.
