WWE star John Cena spoke with the Washington Blade regarding the controversy over the homophobic jokes he's told on television until GLAAD stepped in. "I think it was completely misconstrued," Cena said.

"I certainly am in no position to judge how anyone lives their lives or their lifestyle. I think it's something that Rock or Dwayne may have taken out of context. I think it was completely blown out of proportion." To view the video, visit WashingtonBlade.com.

Powell's POV: Misconstrued? The guy has told countless homophobic jokes, and I have no idea what the hell he's talking about when he said it was something that The Rock may have taken out of context. Why can't he just admit that he made an error in judgment and learned from his mistakes? Based on his comments, I wonder if he has really learned anything. On a positive note, the interview was filmed at a children's hospital where Cena was volunteering his time. As much as I'm shaking my head over the way he handled the GLAAD issue, I absolutely respect his charitable work.
