Jim Ross responded to a reader question regarding his broadcasting future and the possibility that he could become the Oklahoma Sooners radio voice rather than the voice of WWE. "Theoretically a nice problem to have," Ross wrote.

"I am counting no chickens before the eggs hatch I assure you. As much as I would love the Bob Barry, Sr. gig I feel as if I am a long shot for it at best but time will tell. The Raw appearance was a one off and I have nothing else planned for WWE announcing at this time." To read the entire Ross Q&A, visit JRsBarBQ.com.

Powell's POV: It's a shame that nothing more is planned for Ross at this time. Barry is the current voice of Oklahoma Sooners football, and he announced previously that he will be retiring at the end of the year. Ross has coveted that job for a long time and he has connections within the university. Whether that will be enough remains to be seen.
