Former University of Minnesota linebacker Mike Rallis spoke about his quest to land a WWE developmental contract in a Minnesota Daily article. Rallis said he reached out to WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and then went on a 26-day training program tailored for his WWE tryout.

Rallis flew to Orlando for a tryout earlier this month. "I left it all out there in the ring those three days," Rallis said. "For them to say that you did a good job, it feels good there’s some payoff for that."

Rallis noted that he is currently training for a second WWE tryout. "This year, I got to strap on an NFL helmet," he said. "I also got to step into a WWE wrestling ring, and I don’t think a lot of people can say that — especially not in the same year." Powell's POV: Rallis was at the WWE Performance Center for a three-day tryout. The story notes that he met Dusty Rhodes, Triple H, and Alberto Del Rio during his stay. He will head back for another tryout in December. Here's wishing the fellow Minnesotan the best of luck with his WWE career.
