WWE News: Former TNA Knockouts Champion signs with WWE

WWE has signed former TNA Knockouts Champion Awesome Kong. "My dreams just came true today," Kong wrote on her Twitter page. "I got my dream job. Yes, THAT one." You can check out her Twitter page at Twitter.com/AwesomeKong.

Powell's POV: Kong did not mention WWE, but company sources report that the two sides have agreed to a deal. There's no word yet on when she will start with the company. For what it's worth, I see this as an excellent signing by WWE. They've been showcasing some of the better workers lately, and hopefully that will continue with the signing of Kong. She's been held up in limbo for several months while waiting for her lengthy noncompete with TNA to expire.
