Multiple WWE sources are of the belief that Evan Bourne run with the company will end soon, as originally reported in the Dot Net Weekly audio show on Thursday. Bourne failed a second Wellness Policy test last week and was suspended for 60 days. The widespread belief within the company is that Bourne will likely be wished the best in his future endeavors shortly his suspension concludes.

Powell's POV: Even if WWE were to retain Bourne, one has to believe that he would have to spend a lot of time proving himself before the company would be willing to invest in him again. He has two strikes against him, so it's hard to imagine WWE giving him a major push and risk losing him for at least year if he were to fail a third suspension.

WWE has no financial incentive to fire Bourne at this time, as wrestlers who fail Wellness Policy tests are not paid during their suspensions. One source noted that WWE officials chose not to alter the pushes of Bourne and R-Truth when they were originally suspended back in November 2011. Rather, they kept R-Truth in a feud with The Miz, and kept the tag titles on Bourne and Kofi Kingston. Thus, there is even more frustration with Bourne failing the second test.
