WWE creative team member Kevin Eck took to Twitter to respond to Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer website report that Florida Championship Wrestling is being shut down. "WWE is severing ties with FCW?" Eck wrote. "Good lord. Dirt sheets are wrong...AGAIN."

Powell's POV: The rumor was certainly making the rounds last night. I heard it during Raw but was unable to officially verify the information. The Observer website reported that WWE officials had informed the Bright House Sports network that they would be folding the FCW promotion, and moving talent to Stamford, Conn. until they figured out what the next step would be.

I've spoken with a number of people today and while FCW is up and running, there are people who still expect a shakeup of some kind. Some believe WWE is rebranding the FCW television show and moving it to a different network. Others feel there could be significant changes in the near future as part of Triple H's developmental restructuring. At this point, it does not appear WWE will be moving the developmental talent to Stamford, Connecticut, and FCW is still running live events as advertised.
