WWE News: Former college football player passes on NFL offer for WWE developmental

Former Temple University football player Morkeith Brown declined an invitation to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp in favor of signing a WWE developmental contract, according to NESN.com. Brown spent time last year at Bucs camp and eventually played in the Arena Football League for the Philadelphia Soul. Powell's POV: Brown, 28, is 6-5, 225 pound Army veteran who spent 14 months in Afghanistan. WWE has been vocal about the idea of recruiting talent from mainstream sports and I expect to see more signees who don't make the cut with NFL teams over the next couple of weeks.
