WWE has announced that C.M. Punk will open tonight's Raw show at the new 7:00 p.m. CT start time. WWE is teasing that Punk will address his actions.

Powell's POV: I can't help but point out what a wasted opportunity it was for WWE to not promote this or something else big for the opening of the show during Raw 1000 when viewership was so high. Social media is nice, but there's no reason to think it's going to be as effective as it would have been to push something big for the earlier time slot. Worse yet, WWE didn't even drive home the earlier start time, let alone a big angle, during Raw 1000. Thus, I wonder how many of those extra viewers who tuned in last week were left assuming that Raw 1000 was a three-hour special rather than WWE expanding the show to three hours each week.
