WWE announced that C.M. Punk had his left knee scoped by Dr. James Andrews, who successfully trimmed a cartilage tear in Punk's knee. "C.M. Punk underwent knee surgery today to remove a piece of torn meniscus that had locked up his knee," WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com. "The surgery went smoothly and Punk is expected to make a full recovery.

Powell's POV: A cartilage tear shouldn't require much recovery time, so it appears that Punk is indeed good to go for the Royal Rumble and perhaps even the TLC pay-per-view next weekend. However, WWE has yet to announce an official timeline for his return to the ring.
