Bret Hart is open to the idea of appearing on camera for WWE again, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He has had talks with the company about returning as a weekly storyline character, and his interest is one of the reasons they went with the screwjob finish at the Breaking Point pay-per-view.

Powell's POV: I'd be stunned if Bret agreed to wrestle a real match again given some of the health issues he's battled over the years. The story notes that the talks began after Vickie Guerrero left the company, so my guess is that they would like to use him as a general manager. While the story also notes that there's nothing imminent, it could explain why Smackdown general manager Teddy Long has been on storyline probation.

If Hart wants to avoid working weekly with Triple H and Shawn Michaels, then the logical move for him would be to appear on the Smackdown brand. Unfortunately, it wouldn't pack as much of a punch if he did not appear on camera with Shawn and Hunter.
