WWE News: A note regarding Batista's contractual status with WWE

Batista did a round of interviews in the UK last month in which he stated that he had roughly a year left on his contract. He added that he was contemplating retirement at the end of the deal. With WWE reporting that he will be out at least four months following biceps surgery, the time he is away can be tacked onto his contract.

Powell's POV: WWE contracts give the company the right to add the amount of time a wrestler misses due to injury to the end of their contracts. In other words, if Batista misses four months while recovering from the surgery, the company has the right to add four months to his contract.
