WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper discussed a variety of topics with Poughkeepsie Journal blogger Phil Strum to promote his appearance at the NEW indy event on Saturday in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center.
-Piper on inducting Wendi Richter: "She's a fine lady. I haven't seen her since 1988. I look forward to seeing her and giving her a big hug."
-Piper on attending the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony: "It's sometimes a little painful because of all of the ones I don't see."
-Piper on his future acting projects: "I have a sitcom I'm going to be doing — a pilot. I just picked the writers and they're going to be doing that in June. It's a pilot for Bunim-Murray (Productions, the company behind 'The Real World'). They're re-doing They Live. I'm going to hug my kids and wife a lot and take it breath to breath."
