Chris Jericho spoke about wrestling WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat on Sunday in Hawaii during an interview with the Honolulu Star Bulletin. "I'm looking forward to it," Steamboat said. "I don't really look at Steamboat as a legend. He's just a great performer and one of the best of all time.

"It'd be like playing hockey against Wayne Gretzky -- even though he retired years ago, he's still better than half the people on the ice nowadays. Steamboat, at 55 years old, is still better than 80 percent of our roster ... (and) being from Hawaii, it's a huge deal." To read the full interview, visit StarBulletin.com.

Powell's POV: What a treat it must be for Jericho to wrestle one of the all-time greats. Perhaps a decade or two from now there will be another WWE wrestler feeling the same way about working a special match against Jericho. And here's hoping that young wrestler is comparing Jericho to Martin Havlat, not Marian Gaborik. Okay, so neither guy will be compared to The Great One, but I'd settle for Havlat being A Really Good One and Gaborik becoming The Overpaid One. By the way, we're looking for reports from the WWE show in Hawaii. If you can help, contact me at dotnetjason@gmail.com.
