WWE Cruiserweight Title defunct?

The WWE Cruiserweight Title is currently listed in the defunct section on the title history page at WWE.com. Dot Net reader Brandon B. of Surrey, B.C. writes: “I was looking through the WWE championship histories and I noticed that the cruiserweight championship is in the defunct area (you know, European, Light Heavyweight, etc.).” You can see for yourself by visiting WWE.com.

Powell’s POV: I'm not even sure if this is a new revelation, but it was news to me and Brandon so I thought I'd pass along his observation. Will Hornswoggle by the last WWE Cruiserweight Champion? My guess is that Vince McMahon will get excited about the cruiserweight division again at some point, bring the title back, and then lose interest about a week later. History has a funny way of repeating itself with WWE and the cruiserweights.
