WWE Battleground PPV lineup: Updated lineup for the first of two October pay-per-view events

The following matches are advertised for the WWE Battleground pay-per-view, which will be held on October 6 in Buffalo, New York.

-Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan for the vacant WWE Championship.

-Alberto Del Rio vs. Rob Van Dam in a Hardcore Rules match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

-C.M. Punk vs. Ryback.

Powell's POV: With only one week of television to go, WWE has only advertised three matches. It's possible they will announce some matches online or will include them in the television show on Friday, but our correspondents did not mention any new matches being added to the lineup at the Smackdown taping on Tuesday.
