Vince McMahon appeared on WBCN radio in Boston, Mass. to promote tonight's three-hour WWE Raw program. During the interview, he was asked about the Mae Young pregnancy storyline and whatever happened to "the head writer" who was responsible for that angle.
When one of the hosts said he'd heard that the writer had found God and was running a religious wrestling promotion, Vince responded, "You know what, I don't know," Vince said. To listen to the interview, visit WBCN.com.
Powell's POV: Dot Net reader Chris Huffstet pointed out that Vince Russo wasn't writing for WWE at the time. However, one can only assume that the host was referring to Russo, who found God and ran some religious themed shows for the Ring of Glory promotion. Russo was not mentioned by name in the interview, but Vince clearly knew who the host was referring to and chose to play dumb. If nothing else, it is odd to listen to Vince do morning radio to promote a Raw show.
