Update on Randy Savage shoes story

Dot Net reader Hector Mercado wrote the following regarding the earlier story on Randy Savage inspired shoes that are supposedly being produced by Nike. "So as a huge Randy Savage fan, I needed to have those. I contacted Nike and they said they have never heard of them and that those shoes aren't on their official launch list, which can be read at Help-us.nike.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/31872.

Powell's POV: It appears the shoes are bogus based on what Hector noted. It's a shame because while they're a little loud for my taste, they actually do look like a pretty cool design. We have removed the original story from the website to avoid confusion. If we are able to confirm that the shoes are legitimate then we will certainly pass along word.
