Trish Stratus match against Icelandic Wrestling Association women’s champion Svana Hronn Johannsdottir is available online by clicking here. Dot Net reader David Jonsson sent the link and noted that the entire match and an interview with Trish begins roughly seven minutes and 30 seconds into the video, which is taken from the Icelandic local news.

Powell’s POV: This is hardly a pro wrestling match. Rather, it’s called “glima wrestling.” David sent word after I posted the two previous stories that glima wrestling doesn’t take place inside a ring. Rather, the sport involves takedowns on a hard wooden surface. You might not be impressed by the action, but the closeup camera shot of Trish’s backside is a nice consolation prize.

For the record, I didn't mean to overhype Trish taking part in this exhibition. I didn't realize what "glima wrestling" was until David emailed me after I posted those first two stories. I'll sign up for a class on Icelandic wrestling terms, which I'm sure they offer at my local community center, so that something like this doesn't happen again. By the way, I'm going change the headlines of the first two stories because they seem misleading now that I've been introduced to the wild world of "glima wrestling."
