Batista is expected to miss several months of ring time with a torn hamstring, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com. The injury is serious enough that he is expected to undergo surgery soon. The initial prognosis is that he will be out of action until June at the earliest, meaning he is expected to miss WrestleMania 25.

Powell's POV: Tough break for Batista and WWE. I mentioned in my live coverage report tonight that WWE could build to a huge match between Batista and Randy Orton if they keep him out of the ring long enough.

I previously reported that John Cena vs. Batista was planned as one of the marquee matches at WrestleMania 25, but that plan will change due to Batista's injury. It's worth noting that Orton may have been foreshadowing when he stated in his promo tonight that he will be the World Hvt. Champion the next time Batista sees him in the ring.
