Tommy Dreamer says the announcement that ECW is going off the air was part of the reason he left WWE

Tommy Dreamer posted a message on his Twitter page regarding the announcement that ECW will no longer air on Syfy Network beginning next month. "Many people have asked me why I left WWE," Dreamer wrote. "If you watched ECW tonight, a piece of the puzzle was revealed for my actions. Stay tuned."

Powell's POV: One can only hope that part of Dreamer's motivations for leaving really weren't because WWE was scrapping the ECW name. I know ECW means a lot to him, but this like like a freaking mercy killing, as the WWE version of the brand was nothing like the original.
