WWE Superstars Hits

Nothing: Superstars is usually an entertaining show. About every six weeks however, they throw a turd on Thursday nights and this was one of them. The four match setup never produces a good show. Twilling and I have both said it many times, three matches and a good promo, all involving young stars, is where this show should shoot for each week.

WWE Superstars Misses

Jack Swagger vs. Primo: A glorified squash for Swagger that did nothing to help him. Yes, he didn’t lose again, just like he promised. But beating a guy who I had even forgot was on the roster is not exactly a worthy feather for the hat.

Kelly Kelly vs. Alicia Fox: This match should be in the hits, but it fell apart after one minute. Kelly’s weak clotheslines and strikes were odd considering how well it started. And the near fall on Alicia reminded me of the clock slowing down so Triple H could Beat the Clock on Raw for the WWE Title.

Zack Ryder vs. Tyler Reks: These guys were not given near enough time and the match felt rushed. Neither was able to garner any heat and the ending came out of nowhere. Most of the time, that’s a good thing. But with Reks's lack of heat and Ryder’s current/possible turn, the fans were confused, and then apathetic.

The Hart Dynasty and Mike Knox vs. Cryme Tyme and R-Truth: From a wrestling standpoint, this was a hit. But we have seen Cryme Tyme vs. The Harts six thousand times now and like I said in my report, adding Knox and Truth does not make this match up fresh. Knox should not be in this lower mid card spot. He should be battling Morrison and up. He may be on his way to the best big man I have ever seen. Oh, and thank you WWE for killing off Pretty Ricky as fast as he was born.
