Randy Orton admitted that he was a loose cannon who pushed things too far. "I wasn't thinking before I was saying things," Orton told Slam Wrestling. "I was taking the heel persona a little too seriously. I was told, 'This isn't going to work for you. That's what the ring is for. This is a publicly traded company and you're not a kid anymore.'"

"Vince said he couldn't have somebody who was a loose cannon," continued Orton. "He said if any person was going to stop Randy Orton from succeeding, it was Randy Orton." Orton added there were others who had similar conversations with him. "I'm sure Triple H was probably thinking it," he said. "He probably had a hundred of those conversations with me." Powell's POV: Orton also claims during the interview that he received a bad rap for trashing a hotel room, and he provided more details on his August motorcycle accident. Interesting read. However, Orton has a history of proclaiming his maturity in injuries and then doing something immature shortly thereafter. In other words, stay tuned.
