New Rasmussen poll shows Linda McMahon leading her opponent 49/46

On the political front, Rasmussen released a poll today for the Connecticut Senate race showing former WWE CEO Linda McMahon leading 49-46 over Democrat Chris Murphy. McMahon has a 24 point lead among independents, an 18 point lead among seniors, and a four point lead in favorability. Shore's Slant: Holy crap, this is very surprising in deep blue Connecticut. Rasmussen is a right leaning pollster, but his sample is closer to 2008 breakdowns than 2010 and I don't think the 2008 election will be anything like this years. It should be worth noting that PPP, a left-leaning pollster had Murphy up on McMahon in what was still a hypothetical matchup before last week's primaries.
