Linda McMahon won the Republican caucus vote Friday night, earning 60 percent of the delegate's vote. Former Congressman Chris Shays earned 32 percent of the vote, qualifying him for a primary challenge in August. The winner of the primary will go on to face Democrat and current US Representative Christopher Murphy in November. You can get all the details at http://www.ctmirror.org/story/16407/gop-endorses-mcmahon-over-shays-2-1-margin.

Shore's Slant: Shane and Stephanie McMahon are shown in the photo that accompanies the story. McMahon has called for Shays to drop out, but Shays has vowed to fight until the primary. It's an interesting race if you look at the polls. McMahon is beating Shays handedly in the primary polls, but loses big to Murphy, whereas Shays shows potential to beat Murphy. Crazy days ahead in Connecticut.
